Privacy policy.

Effective date: July 10, 2026

This policy covers blackrifleco.com, the website of BlackRifle Co, LLC, a marketing agency based in Cumming, Georgia, USA. We keep this simple because the site itself is simple: it is a static marketing site. There are no user accounts, no checkout, and no payments here.

What we collect

We collect four kinds of information:

  • Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, you give us your email address. The form submits directly to Mailchimp (Intuit Mailchimp), the third-party email service we use to store the list and send the newsletter. Mailchimp processes your email address under its own privacy policy.
  • Server logs. The site is served through Amazon CloudFront (AWS). Like nearly every website, this generates standard server logs: your IP address, browser user agent, and the pages you request. We use these logs for security and to keep the site running, nothing else.
  • Audience data. We are a data-driven advertising agency, and we use our own tools. This site runs a Clickagy audience tag, the same technology we deploy for clients. It sets cookies and similar identifiers and collects information such as your IP address, device and browser characteristics, and the pages you visit here, which is used to build and measure advertising audiences. Clickagy processes this data under its own privacy policy (clickagy.com/privacy), which also describes its opt-out choices.
  • Traffic measurement. We measure site traffic with a system we built ourselves, in-house, instead of Google Analytics or similar tools. It sets no cookies and stores no identifiers. Our server derives a short-lived visitor code from your IP address and browser type using a key that rotates every 24 hours, keeps only the code, and discards the address. What we end up with is aggregate counts: pages viewed, how far articles get read, where visitors arrived from, and the approximate region of the visit (country and state, as determined by our CDN at the network edge - never a precise location). The code cannot be reversed, and because the key changes daily, it cannot connect your visits across days, let alone across sites. This data stays on our own infrastructure and is shared with no one.
  • Contact form and email. If you submit the contact form, you give us your name, email address, company, and message, plus any ad-spend range you choose to share. The form is processed by AWS (Lambda and SES) and delivered to our inbox; nothing is stored outside that email. If you email us directly, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.

Cookies, analytics, and trackers

The site sets cookies through the Clickagy audience tag described above. That is the point: audience data is our business, and we would not ask clients to run technology we will not run on ourselves. Beyond that, the only measurement on the site is our own cookieless traffic counter described above; we do not run Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics or advertising scripts.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings, and the site works fine without them. You can also opt out of Clickagy's data collection through the choices described in its privacy policy at clickagy.com/privacy.

One note: we load our fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font from Google's servers, Google receives your IP address as part of serving the file.

How we use your information

  • Email addresses from the newsletter form are used to send you the newsletter. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Server logs are used for security monitoring and site operations.
  • Audience tag data is used to build, refine, and measure advertising audiences - the same product we operate for clients.
  • Contact form submissions and email correspondence are used to answer you and manage our business relationship. Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to anything.

We do not sell your email address or correspondence, and we do not share them with anyone except the service providers named above (Mailchimp and AWS), who process them on our behalf. Data collected by the audience tag is handled by Clickagy as described in its privacy policy, and its use for interest-based advertising may be considered "sharing" under some state privacy laws; the opt-out choices above apply.

Demo sites

We host portfolio demonstration sites on subdomains of blackrifleco.com. These are static demos: they collect nothing, and any forms on them are non-functional mockups shown for design purposes only.

Children

This site is for business audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info [at] blackrifle.company and we will handle it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or by asking us directly.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we hold, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Use the same email address to exercise those rights, and use the Clickagy choices above for the audience tag specifically.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
